‘I’ve Had Enough Kardashians!’
Like a nation stuck in a social media echo chamber, the name Kardashian pings daily off of every known news source on the web. From entertainment publications, to the NY Times and beyond, one family has masterfully grabbed ahold of pop-culture by the balls with their magnificently manicured nails, and refuses to let go. And there’s only one reason America’s relationship with them stays the same way – their name keeps selling.
But a Florida news anchor recently decided enough was enough.
While charged with reporting on the breaking news of the name of Kylie Jenner’s new bunny rabbit (which she oddly named Bruce?), John Brown flew off the handle and walked off the set of the show.
“I’m having a good Friday, so I refuse to talk about the Kardashians!” the anchor spat as he left the newsroom with his mic still hot. “You are on your own, Amy. I can’t do it, I’ve had enough Kardashians! I can’t take any more Kardashian stories on this show!”
Left to fend for herself, co-anchor Amy Kaufeldt attempts to smooth things over. A replacement anchor joins her on set to move the show forward, but Brown continues to soapbox about the celebrity family.
“I don’t care about this family. I’m sick of this family. It’s a nonstory!” Brown shouts over their reporting.
Brown later apologized for the rant on his Facebook page, citing that he simply ‘lost his mind a bit.’ We understand John – sometimes you just gotta’ let it out.
And yet – here we are, reporting on them again. Oh, the irony.
SHARE if you understand John Brown’s frustration.
This guy’s sick of talking about them. If you are too, spread the word, and let us know.
