The trailer for Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan’s highly anticipated new movie-musical The Last Five Years was just released– and the pair sound incredible.

The film originated as a semi-autobiographical off-Broadway musical penned and composed by Jason Robert Brown.

The story documents the five-year relationship between struggling artist Cathy (Kendrick) and Jewish novelist Jamie (Jordan/Jason Robert Brown,) and follows them as they fall in, and out, of love together. Cathy tells her side of the story in reverse-chronological order, while Jamie tells it from the beginning. In other words, at the top of the story you see Cathy’s struggle to recuperate from their relationship, while at the same time you see Jamie falling in love with Cathy for the first time (with the two storylines meeting together for one perfect moment on their wedding day.)

Romantic, if not slightly fatalistic, the movie is set for release on Valentine’s Day– so lovers, beware!

Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan look incredible, and sound even better. Check it out!
