Prince George of Cambridge’s first year as a royal baby was definitely a busy one.
The cute little Prince was born July 22, 2013 at 4:24pm and to celebrate his milestone birthday his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, invited friends and family to Kensington Palace for a small, but meaningful “low-key tea party.” The toddler had already received 4,000 gifts since birth so his parents “insisted that they don’t want their son to be showered with gifts.”
Around 3pm in London, England, multiple guests were spotted arriving for George’s party. In attendance was uncle Prince Harry, aunt and uncle Pippa and James Middleton, his favorite cousin Mia Grace Tindall, and of course Queen Elizabeth II who was last to arrive at 4pm.
His grandfather, Prince Philip, was absent from the birthday party in order to fulfill his royal duties. “However, Kate drove the birthday boy over to Buckingham for a quick visit with the prince and the Queen before his party.”
