Brittany Murphy was a beautiful and talented actress who died at an early age of natural causes. While some people believe that it was due to a drug overdose, toxicology reports state otherwise. And then there’s her father who believes that she was poisoned, but that’s not been proven. It was more than four years ago that she passed away, yet she’s fixing to do something big in the Hollywood industry…her last film is going to be released next month on April 4.
Something Wicked, Brittany’s last and final film, was filmed back in 2009, the same year that she passed away. It’s debut will take place at the Regal Valley River Center 15 located in Eugene, OR. This just so happens to the be the same place that the movie was shot. The movie has been described as a thriller featuring “love gone wrong,” and it’s not just anybody playing Murhpy’s co-stars. In fact, both Julian Morris and Shantel VanSanten make appearances throughout much of the film.
All of Murphy’s other movies were definitely worth watching, including Clueless, Sin City, Uptown Girls, and Riding in Cars with Boys, so there’s no reason to believe her new movie won’t be just as good.
The producer of the Something Wicked acknowledged that the movie’s debut has been long awaited, but he wanted to make sure that Murphy’s performance was “the best it can be, because unfortunately it’s her last performance.”
Murphy’s most successful film ever was one in which she did not appear, but instead she did voice over; the movie was Happy Feet, which was released in 2006. By May 2007, the box office had raked in more than $197 million for the film. Her next most famous film was 8 Mile. Remember this one? She played Eminem’s girlfriend.
Brittany’s family has had a difficult time coping with her death. And to fuel their thoughts surrounding the belief that their daughter’s death wasn’t an accident, in May of 2010, Brittany’s widower died in the same home that she did. Once again, his cause of death was like Brittany’s; pneumonia.
Hopefully, Brittany’s new movie can shed a light of hope on her parents, because the film will show Brittany in her last day’s leading up to her death.
