Caitlyn Jenner: Swimsuit ‘Did Feel Very Freeing’

Sometimes it’s the tiny fears that are the most difficult to conquer, like feeling comfortable enough to wear a swimsuit in public.

Caitlyn Jenner tested new waters for the first time in the most recent episode of I Am Cait after expressing her strong discomfort over feeling too exposed in women’s swimwear.

“There are so many hurdles to overcome,” Cait admitted  recently. “Every day it seems like, ‘What about a bathing suit?’ See, I can’t even say it. It’s hard for it just to come out saying ‘a bathing suit.’”

But as is often when we conquer our fears, she was immediately pleased that she’d made the big plunge. “It did feel very freeing,” said Jenner about the experience. “I did see my reflection in the glass door. Looked pretty good.”

The great Cait

Daughter Kim Kardashian suggested a black two-piece for her first dip, but Cait opted for something a little more simple – a white one-shouldered one-piece with a matching sarong. We approve.

It’s too hot to stay out of the pool this summer Cait, so we’re glad you were able to conquer your fears, once again reminding us that maintaining a positive body image is what’s most important.
