Earlier this month, Robin Williams’s widow, Susan Schneider, delivered an emotional interview on Good Morning America revealing a new insight on his suicide. Schneider explained that she didn’t see Williams as suicidal — it was his diagnosis with Lewy body dementia that pushed him into such a terrible mental state.

But this isn’t the shocking news everyone is talking about. According to the Times of London, Williams’s will prohibits Disney from using any material he ever did for them – including his famous Genie voice recordings – for any future films in the Aladdin franchise.

This news comes at a pretty critical moment for Disney. The company has been developing a live-action prequel to the Genie character from aladdin. This film will follow the story of how the Genie first got locked in the lamp. Any plan to use William’s 1991 voice recordings in the new film to up public interest is officially off the table.

But a detail in the will means that Disney aren’t the only people getting the cold shoulder from the late actor.

Looks like this genie will NOT be granting any more wishes for Disney!
