Amazon Prime’s Transparent recently won big at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. The groundbreaking series took home best TV series (musical or comedy) as well as best actor for Jeffrey Tambor.

Tambor’s co-star and long time LGBTQ activist  Judith Light sat down with me and spoke about the most memorable moment of her career. For me, the most memorable moment of my sit down with the award-winning actress was when she spoke about her activism and philanthropy.

Light truly lit up when she talked about her work with the LGBTQ community. Light was recently recognized for her philanthropy at the 13th Annual Women Who Care Luncheon, where she received the Luella Bennack Philanthropy Award.

Take a look at why we love Judith Light.
