Kentucky firefighter A.J. Johnson is being collectively hugged by the the internet today for comforting a sweet kitten back to life.
A video of the rescue released by Kentucky.com has recently gone viral and shows the serviceman administering respiration while softly petting the smoked feline.
The kitten, named Prissy, was among a group of pets saved from the same house fire in Lexington, KY. Johnson recounted the experience on an Australian talk show. “I said, ‘Ma’am, what’s important to you? What’s in there you want?'” Johnson remembers asking the homeowner Verdis Pennington. “She said, ‘My pets.’ So we just started looking for the pets.”
After recounting his story, the saucy Australian interviewer even asked the fireman if he was single, commended his soft-looking skin, and offered to raise money to bring the Kentuckian to the Land Down Under for a visit.
Looks like this guy isn’t just going to be popular among cats.
