A Dog and His Tricks
Dog and his wife Beth were actually victims of a robbery at a hotel they were staying at in Los Angeles. They came back to their room to find their safe open and $5,000 in cash missing. Their jewelry and luggage were untouched, but the safe had been broken into. It seemed to be an inside job, but if the Bounty Hunter himself can’t protect his own stuff, how can he be trusted to bring in criminals!?
Back in the ’70s, Dog and one of his friends went to buy some… illegal greens, and things didn’t turn out as planned. Somehow there was a struggle with the dealer, and Dog’s friend allegedly shot and killed him. It’s said that Dog was waiting in the car while all of this went down, but back in 1976 he was actually convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to five years in prison.
While he served his time, his wife at the time divorced him and married his best friend. Yikes!
Man of Many Wives
They might touch on it from time to time, but Dog and his current wife, Beth Smith, don’t like to bring up the fact that Dog was married to four different women before her.
In 1972 he married LaFonda Honeycutt, the one that married his best friend while he was in jail. Seven years later, in 1979, he tied the knot with Anne Tegnell, but divorced her after three years of marriage. Next was Lyssa Rae Brittain, and they stayed together from 1982 to 1991. In 1992 Dog married Tawny Marie, but that ended in 1994. Twelve years later he married Beth Smith, and they’re still together to this day.
When you’re part of a reality show, tons of people end up wanting to know about your life. When it comes to Dog the Bounty Hunter, he might not want people to know these things…
