Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: To Pac or not to Pac?

Public Enemy’s outspoken head MC let loose a tweet about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominations on Thursday, October 20. As a veritable grandfather of modern hip hop, Chuck D’s opinion should be considered. Known for his crisp vocals, and power packed political rhymes all juxtaposed to the goofy, comedic antics of Flavor Flav, Chuck D is a legend. Chuck is often cited as the original conscious rapper, as he told people to “Fight the Power,” and “Don’t Believe the Hype.” On the 1990 album Fear of a Black Planet, Chuck D and Flav told us all that “911 is a Joke” 25 years before the anti-oppression, anti-corruption, Black Lives Matter civil rights part two movement of today. As much of an innovator as an artist, Chuck D is revered as full blown legend. Thursday he tweeted that he felt LL Cool J should be in line to receive a Hall of Fame nomination before the late, great Tupac Shakur. Keep reading for more details.
