The most casual of coming outs...

The gay rights movement in the past ten years has shown some incredible progress. There are many monumental changes in legislation for LGBTs that are to be celebrated, but the epitome of the movement happened on June 26, 2015, when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled, 5–4, in Obergefell v. Hodges that same-sex couples have the fundamental right to marry and that states cannot say that marriage is reserved for heterosexual couples.

There has been no other time in history where gays and trans have been more accepted and open in our society. Some come out in elaborate ways like drawing cartoons or filming videos. Some have their friends come out for them. Some bake goodies and write their announcement on the sweets. However, we have yet to see a celebrity come out as casually as this Disney star, but we totally appreciate it.

NEW YORK, NY - JUNE 29: Marchers walk down 5th Avenue during the 2014 Gay Pride March on June 29, 2014 in New York City. Thousands of marchers attended the parade route, which started at 36th Street and Fifth Avenue and ended at Greenwich and Christopher streets. The parade ended at the Stonewall Inn, where New York marchers commemorated the 45th anniversary of the 1969 riots, which are credited with launching the modern gay rights movement. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York City's Mayor Bill de Blasio were in attendance along with grand marshals Laverne Cox, transgender actress and activist, actor Jonathan Groff and Rea Carey, Executive Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.
