You'd be crazy not to do these!
They say that laughter is the best medicine. While this might not be technically true, our natural reflex to experiencing something funny does have some actual health benefits. Dr. Michael Miller from the University of Maryland says that a period of sustained, heavy laughter “may reduce blood-clot formation, cholesterol deposition, and inflammation.” Watching a 15 minute funny video can improve bloodflow to the heart by 50 percent, so take some time to focus on funny stuff!
Drink Lots Of Water
Researchers from Loma Linda University claim that drank five, eight-ounce glasses of water per day were 54 percent less likely to suffer a fatal heart attack than those who only drank two or fewer glasses per day.
This is a health tip we can all get behind! While it goes without saying that eating too much chocolate can make you gain weight, which leads to a whole bunch of health problems, chocolate has been shown to have health benefits if eaten in moderation.
Dutch researchers found that in a 15-year study, men who ate just 4 grams of cocoa per day had half the risk of fatal heart disease than those who ate less. That amount of cocoa is equivalent to about two Hershey’s Kisses.
So pop a couple chocolates – it’s good for you!
