"Drug Dealers Anonymous"

If you don’t believe Jay-Z is a former drug dealer turned rapper turned self-made boss, then maybe the lyrics to his new song will persuade you to think otherwise.

Rapper Pusha T, whose name derives from his drug dealing days, released a new single featuring the rap mogul, Jay-Z. “Drug Dealers Anonymous” features the tales of two former drug dealers recalling their lives in the streets. But more importantly, it’s a record of admission for Jay-Z. The rapper sets the record straight on his past selling drugs.

The song features a sample from Tomi Lahren, a conservative political commentator, who called out Jay-Z during a rant about Beyoncé’s 2016 Superbowl performance. Lahren said, “Your husband was a drug dealer. For 14 years he sold crack cocaine.” Well, Jay-Z was listening and had some things to say.
