Never Forgetting, Always Remembering
It’s easy to write off Kim Kardashian (or any reality star) as shallow and self-centered, but as with all things in life, there is always more to the story than what meets the eye.
Every year around 9/11, people from all walks of life take the time to stop and remember the events of that fateful day in 2001. Many of these narratives often take on “I remember exactly where I was…” or end up including someone’s personal account of the tragedy, regardless of whether or not they lived in New York or Washington, on the East Coast, or knew anybody who died or was directly affected by the terrorist attacks.
But as is the way with all major events that shape the course of history, even distant happenings can become extremely personal, especially when they remind us of specific people.
In the case of Kim Kardashian, 9/11 always brings back the reminder of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who passed away from esophageal cancer in September 2003.
