Polarimeter – $1,000
Fritz actually had to pay $1,000 for a polarimeter that he already owned because of a misunderstanding between him and the buyer. Fritz sent $300 for it originally, but it was never received. A lawsuit burst from the situation, and Fritz didn’t even show up to the court date. The customer was awarded $1,000.
Leather License Plate – $1,000
Before everyone had metal license plates, the government actually allowed a number of different ways to mark your car. You could paint your number on the car, hang a wooden sign, or even engrave the numbers into a leather plate. When Mike came across one of these leather license plates, he couldn’t pass on it and immediately offered a thousand dollars for the item.
Tether Car Toy – $1,100
If you’re old… you might remember these. These toy cars came with a real engine and they would drive around in circles super fast. According to Wikipedia, the current world record is actually 214 miles per hour! Mike knew he wanted one of these right when he laid his eyes on it. He busted out $1,100 for the toy car.
