Prince Charles Has No Chill
Back in 2005, Prince Charles was being married to Camilla Parker Bowles, and there was obviously a ton of press covering the event. More than 50 reporters were gathered at a Swiss ski resort where the event was sent to take place During one of the photoshoots, Charles muttered to his sons saying “I hate doing this… I hate these people.”
Little did he know his microphone was on and picking up every word that he said. After he was asked a few questions he turned towards Harry and said “Bloody people. I can’t bear that man. He’s so awful, he really is,” yikes!
Charles has long been accused of oral diarrhea. He just doesn’t seem to have a filter like someone in his position should. Or maybe he is just more real than all the others? Regardless of the reason, he has dropped some doozies on the family over time. In one instance in 2002 he was at a Bristol nursing home when he asked a woman in a wheelchair if she had people tripping over her.
Then, of course, there was the visit to China in 1986. At that time, he told a bunch of British students that they would become “slitty-eyed” if they stayed in the country too long. Oy.
Princess Anne’s Insult
On Christmas day back in the year 2000, a 75-year-old woman by the name of Mary Halfpenny spent hours making a beautiful flower display for the Queen mother, and then she waited for hours outside of a church to present it to her. Unfortunately, that never happened. Instead, Queen Elizabeth II’s only daughter, Princess Anne, grabbed the bouquet and yelled: “What a ridiculous thing to do!”
Halfpenny said “It was a really hurtful thing to say… I’ve made baskets full of flowers for the Queen, and she has always said how nice they are.”
The Royal Family has tons of media coverage all the time, so it’s no surprise they’ve been caught messing up. However, these are surprising…
