New Tom, who dis?
Before Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and even Facebook, there was beloved Myspace. Myspace was the home to countless creative teens and young adults who networked, hooked up, and just shared the space as an outlet to just be. Though it’s still thriving, it’s not at all as popular as it was during its 2003 launch or height from 2005 to 2009.
I remember when I first signed up on the social network, Tom was my only friend. I actually felt special. Like, “Tom is MY friend?!” But that was short-lived when I saw that he was friends with the other 20 million users. For as long as I was a Myspace user, Tom had the same picture–an over the shoulder smile in front of a board, so we only knew what he looked like from one angle.
It seems like once the aforementioned social networks trumped Myspace in popularity, Tom got ghost. Like, where is he? What’s he doing? Does he have a new picture? I got questions. And I’m sure you do too. Luckily, I’ve found the answers.
I bet you’ve never seen this many photos of MySpace Tom!
