Warning! Gross medical images ahead!

Having your child go under the knife is heart wrenching for parents. Even just knowing that they are ill and in pain can make your heart break, let alone having to have invasive surgery.

A worm infection, known as helminthiasis, is not uncommon in developing nations. Most of these come from the soil and infect small children. That’s most likely what is in this mysterious video on YouTube that has 4.5 million views. Nothing is known about the patient, except that it’s supposed to be a 3-year-old girl. A team of doctors exposes her intestines in order to try and extract the worms.
