The Clooney’s Have Made Room in their Home for One More
George and Amal Clooney probably had the most romantic, beautiful, and star-studded wedding in history in Venice in 2014. Since then the two have been growing their little family, adopting two rescued cocker spaniels, and now they’ve decided to take it to the next level — they’re adopting a beautiful basset hound!
Meet Millie. She’s a four-year-old basset hound that was rescued from homelessness earlier this month and brought to the San Gabriel Valley Human Society. It’s pretty amazing that a dog can go from eating scraps outside of local restaurants to being adopted by two of the most beautiful (and wealthy) people out there! A true Cinderella story.
It turns out that for Millie and her new adopted parents, it was a match made in heaven – well, on the internet! The couple was searching for basset hounds on PetFinder.com when they came across Millie’s profile.
After a short but successful playdate with their own dog, it was a done deal! “They did a ‘meet and greet’ with her and spent time introducing her to their other rescue, a cocker spaniel named Louie,” said a rep from the animal shelter. “It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together! We hope Millie will stay in touch and send photos.”
And this adoption could not have come at a better time! October is the American Humane Association’s Adopt-a-Dog month, so if you’ve been thinking about bringing a precious pooch into your life, then there’s no better time than right now!
