Someone call Madam Pomfrey!

Robbie Coltrane, the actor who portrayed Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies, was rushed to a hospital in Florida last night (Jan. 29) after coming down with flu-like symptoms on a flight.

The 64-year-old actor is reported to have fallen ill during a 9-hour British Airways flight from London to Orlando (apparently the enchanted motorbike doesn’t fair well on transatlantic journeys). He was traveling with fellow co-star Sir Michael Gambon, who played Dumbledore in the series following the death of Richard Harris. Coltrane was kept at the hospital overnight after being picked up by paramedics at the airport gate.

The two actors were headed to the “A Celebration of Harry Potter” convention at Universal Studios. The three-day event is expected to attract thousands of fans to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park.

Hopefully Hagrid recovers in time to greet his fans!
