Well, you’ll either find yourself in a puddle of tears, or thanking the Lord after finding out that TV has lost one of its most controversial reality shows.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has been canceled by TLC after TMZ revealed yesterday that the show’s matriarch, June “Mama June” Shannon, had been having a secret relationship with a convicted child molester who sexually abused a member of Mama’s family. The paramour, Mark McDaniel, was recently released from prison in March after serving a 10-year sentence for forcing oral sex on an 8-year-old.

Shannon has denied the claims on the Facebook page of the show’s star, her daughter, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson:

“(R)emember you can’t believe everything you read! (People) sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isn’t true i promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn’t go back.”

Although the show’s ratings had fallen, TLC will still lose one of their highest performing programs in canceling the show. The network has come forward saying, “Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority.  TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being.” The network also plans on paying for tutors and counselors for the kids.

To ease the pain, here’s a compilation of Honey Boo Boo’s most brilliant moments on the show.
