British director Sam Mendes announced today (Dec. 4) in a press conference at Pinewood Studios that the 24th James Bond movie is set to film. The title will be SPECTRE.
Mendes will not only return to direct, but Daniel Craig will reprise his role as James Bond as well. To what was a generally positive reaction, Christoph Waltz was announced as part of the cast.
The acronym SPECTRE is the name of a global terrorist organization in Ian Fleming’s 1961 novel Thunderball. SPECTRE stands for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion.
