After the Hunger Games actors finish pretending to slaughter each other each day on set, it’s important to lighten the mood a little. But when live bugs get involved, things may have gone too far.

Apparently pranking is all part of the process though, JLaw told Entertainment Tonight during this week’s premier of Mockingjay-Part 1,”We all mess with each other to make sure all of us have a conflicted experience,” she explained. “I got a Tiffany’s box filled with crickets!”

Sick. The only crickets we like are the edible chocolate covered kind.

“It was the most awful combination of feelings in the world,” she added. “Tiffany’s! Jeffrey! It was Jeffrey Wright [who plays the character Beetee]. I was like Oh my God… you didn’t have to do that. Then I open it and it was a box of crickets.”

But the worst part was yet to come… Chirp, chirp!

“It was awful and they were in my trailer for months, I couldn’t get them out.”

Maybe Wright was just trying to add to the neurotic quality of Jennifer’s character, Katniss Everdeen.

Josh Hutcherson, the actor behind Peeta also described the joys of bugging JLaw: “We just love giving her crap all the time, and whether it’s a prank or just, you know, giving her a hard time, it’s the best.”
