Kanye showed off his emotional side this week after appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

In his segment, a surprisingly modest West talked about family life, saying that wife Kim Kardashian and daughter North, who will turn two this June, have taught him how to shut up. It’s about time he learned that lesson!

More excitingly, while Kanye toyed with his chain that got caught up in his microphone, Ellen premiered a clip from his upcoming new release and music video, “Only One.”

Kayne forgets his god persona and shows off his human side in the video, which Ellen explains was inspired by words from his mother. Sir Paul McCartney plays the keyboard and Yeezus sounds uber-autotuned in the gospel-inspired tune. Kanye repurposes his mother’s loving words and makes them his own as the encouraging lyrics are played over clips of West walking around with baby North. Spike Jonze directed the video.

What do you think of the song and video? Personally, we don’t think we’ll be downloading it…
