Kris Jenner Opens Up About Cait’s ‘Vanity Fair’ Debut
At the closing of Sunday night’s episode of the E! reality docuseries I Am Cait, we were given a major supertease of next week’s most emotional moments – and tensions are running high in a discussion between Caitlyn Jenner and ex Kris Jenner.
After it’s already come out this week that both Khloé and Kim Kardashian were upset with how their mother was portrayed in Caitlyn’s debut Vanity Fair cover story, it’s no surprise that a tough chat with Kris herself was on the horizon. Finally, we have an opportunity to hear Kris share her piece with Caitlyn – though neither of them seem to be happy with what the other is saying.
“You’re sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life,” Kris explains emotionally to Caitlyn. “You’re just not so sensitive and amazing to the family you left behind.”
“I try to to do everything I can to be nice, reach out,” Caitlyn responds, asking Kris to be an ‘ally’ for her when it comes to helping the kids with all of the changes happening in her life — but Kris seems to be struggling with the transition just as much as anyone else.
“When you feel like you gave your whole life to somebody and the sum of it all was you were a distraction…” But Caitlyn quickly shoots down that argument.
“Don’t go there,” she warns. “It was a distraction from the sense of who I was – that doesn’t mean I didn’t love you, or the kids.”
Find out what happens in the full episode of I Am Cait which airs this Sunday at 8PM ET on E!
