Los Angeles Emmy Awards

The Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre hosts the 65th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards. The evening celebrates excellence in broadcasting in the 2nd largest market of the US. PressRoomVIP was at the awards program to capture these great achievements in journalism.

Being an evening of recognition within the journalist community, it is also one of reflection. A big topic lately is journalistic integrity with the new platform of social media. PressRoomVIP asked the nominees and guests what their thoughts were on the matter. Some felt it was a great tool for reporters and anchors, and others questioned their future relevancy. Bottom-line, the resounding inclination was “proceed with caution.” Although social media is a great mobilizer and conduit for information, anyone working within the news industry should still strictly adhere to the ethics and standards of journalism.

The evening was a great success, bringing together all the Los Angeles broadcasting talent to celebrate their accomplishments.
