Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Julianne Moore and Liam Hemsworth were among the famous faces featured in a video calling for increased awareness of the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa, released by the Ebola Survival Fund, on December 29.
In the video, the stars of the Hunger Games films compared the conditions of those diagnosed with Ebola in the US versus those infected with the virus in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. The Ebola Survival Fund released a similar video in October featuring other celebrities such as Tony Blair and Whoopi Goldberg. Actor Jeffrey Wright, featured in the video, co-founded the Ebola Survival Fund to “support a coalition of community-based organizations working in Liberia and Sierra Leone in order to complement the efforts of the larger-scale programs being implemented by international organizations.”
