As if we were capable of loving Dwayne Johnson, AKA ‘The Rock’, any more, the movie star made a very real-life action hero move that has the entire internet fawning over him this week. While relaxing with his family over the holiday weekend, the celebrity saved the lives of his two adorable baby French Bulldogs, Brutus and Hobbs, who decided to take a premature dip in the swimming people without practicing their doggy-paddling skills first.

Johnson relayed the entire story on his Instagram account, with a photo of him bearing the two puppies, Lion King-style, while wearing a see-through wet, white t-shirt (be still my heart!)

“We just decided to add two new members to our Johnson family, Baby French Bulldogs,” wrote The Rock. “In my right hand is Brutus and in my left hand is Hobbs.”

After bringing the two puppies home and setting them down so they could do some exploring and “handle their business,” both puppies ran immediately at “full spring” right into the pool. Nice job dudes.

“Hobbs immediately starts doggy paddling while Brutus (like a brick) sink heads first to the bottom of the pool. I take off into a full sprint, fully clothed, dive in the pool, swim to the bottom, rescue my brick, I mean Brutus and bring him back to the edge of the pool.”

Thankfully Brutus/Brick was A-OK in the end thanks to his superhero daddy. “He was a little delirious.. took a moment, threw up all the water he swallowed and looked up at me as if to say, ‘Thank God you didn’t have to give me mouth to mouth!’ and then ran off to play with his brother.”

Thankfully nothing died on this action-packed Labor Day except for Johnson’s waterlogged cell phone. And we all got to see this amazingly adorable photo!
