You Can Now Dress As Caitlyn Jenner for Halloween, But We Don’t Recommend It
Fall is almost upon us, and you know what that means – new and improved pumpkin spice lattes and planning out your next Halloween costume.
In preparation for the season, costume shops have already begun offering their wares, and one particular costume has begun creating a lot of outrage – a unisex number inspired by Caitlyn Jenner.
Remember when Caitlyn Jenner looked like this?
Well, now you can look like her too…

Most are calling the costume utterly insensitive, not to mention ugly, cheap looking, and it costs a staggering $75.
But that’s not all, here’s the description of this finely constructed outfit: ” Included are a white padded top and matching shorts as well as a brunette wig so that you can dress as the softer side of the popular Olympian.” Wait. It gets better. “You probably won’t break any Twitter records when you wear this outfit like Caitlyn did when she first made her account, but you’ll be sure to get a few laughs out of your friends and the other guests at the get together.”
Well, as long as we get some laughs at the expense of the transgender movement, it’ll be a successful Halloween.

Dressing up as a celebrity for Halloween is not a new thing (remember last year when everyone went as the right side of Ariana Grande’s face?) And seeing that Caitlyn Jenner has been one of the most hot-button topics of the year, it’s no surprise that people want to capitalize on her popularity and appear to be socially aware by donning her most famous look. But that doesn’t mean making money off of transphobia is a forgivable offense.
Many are calling it utterly disrespectful. What’s your take?
