This one got me right in the heart

None of us really appreciate our moms enough. It’s like we go off into the world and as soon as we can do our own laundry, we forget about the women who made us the people we are today. For this pup, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientists to recognize the love and excitement felt by 5 month old pup Harper when she’s reunited with her mom for the first time since her adoption. There is, however, some science behind how Harper’s mom recognized her daughter after all these months.

Animal behaviorist Steven Lindsay said in an interview with The Nest that when a female dog gives birth, there’s a psychological reaction in the brain that strengthens over time. The longer she spends with her pups after giving birth, the better she’ll be able to recognize them later!

Science aside, this video is just downright adorable. It’ll make you want to give your mom a call and let her know you love her.
