Well, it is that time of year again, December 24th. It’s the height of the holiday season. And this month (Dec. 3) PressRoomVIP was invited to a very special and merry event, the 4th annual Santa Project Party & Auction. The evening benefitted the United Cerebral Palsy of New York City (UCP of NYC).

The festive gathering was held at Bocca di Bacco in Chelsea where many young, high profile New Yorkers came together, including the likes of: Tamsen Fadal (co-host), Camilla Barungi (co-host), Scott Stanford (co-chair), Mike Woods, Javier Gomez, Michelina Mandarano, Martha Fling, Ryan Asselta, Tim Mandala, Lori Sokol, and many more.

The proceeds from the Santa Project Party & Auction help to fund special needs equipment requests and purchase holiday gift cards for children with disabilities in UCP of NYC’s programs. The party featured a silent auction with a wide-variety of luxury goods and services.

The lovely and Emmy winning anchor Tamsen Fadal spoke about UCP of NYC’s impact saying that the “United Cerebral Palsy of New York City helps 14,000 people. And the families that it helps with regard to education and to development, with the things that people need everyday that we take for granted…it’s just outstanding.”

Camilla Barungi touched on what she appreciated the most about the holidays and this event in particular, “This is truly my favorite part of the holidays. I get to see all my friends and it’s so cool to see your friends join you in your activism. It takes your friendship to a whole other level.”

Scott Standford probably put it best explaining simply, “Just to come out and put a smile on these kids’ faces, how could you pass that up?”

So from all of us here at PressRoomVIP, and with the spirit of the UCP of NYC’s efforts have a wonderful holiday season and a merry New Year.
