Disney has made it official: there will be a fifth installment to Pirates of the Caribbean.
The movie, titled Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, has a script. And it has a cast…kinda.
Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush will both be returning to the set. Orlando Bloom may even be reprising his role. And Javier Bardem could be on board!? But as of yet, there is no female lead. But that won’t be the case for long. That is, not if Kaya Scodelario has anything to do about it.
The 22-year-old English actress is currently in talks to play the female lead (since Keira Knightley seems to be too busy), and as of now she is the frontrunner.
Her resumé isn’t all that impressive, but she is beautiful. She hit it big time after starring in the UK TV series Skins and playing the female lead in the film The Maze Runner which you may have seen. She is also in the sequel, set to be released in theaters September 18, 2015.
Again, as of now, nothing is official. But things are looking good on the horizon!
