A young mother suffering from Lupus received the news she had been hoping for recently when a father-of-three saw her organ appeal on the back of her car window. In October 2014, Christine Royles, 23, had desperately scrawled a message on the back of her car window asking for someone with Type O blood willing to donate a kidney to contact her and save her life.
Josh Dall-Leighton and his wife spotted the message and following a call and a referral to Maine Medical Center’s Transplant Program, Leighton discovered he was a strong match for Royles. Royles and Leighton met for the first time on March 25, with a transplant surgery currently scheduled for May. There are several GoFundMe campaigns in aid of Royles and Leighton.

Christine never expected this level of kindness from a complete stranger. Would you do the same?
