Presidents’ Day, or Washington’s Birthday as the federal gov’t calls it, is a day we honor our current and past presidents.

It occurs every third Monday of February, and many people across the country have the day off.

Originally, the holiday was established to honor just George Washington – the first president of the United States. However, over the years, it has morphed into a day to recognize all our presidents.

So today we give thanks and show our appreciation for everything that our presidents have done to make the United States of America the greatest democracy in the world.

Are you off today for Presidents’ Day? You won’t believe these fun facts about this holiday!
