Beyoncé’s New Track: “Runnin’ (Lose It All)”
After nearly a year of yearning for fresh music from the Goddess that is Beyoncé, the world’s biggest celebrity has just whet our appetites with a newly dropped single in collaboration with U.K. producer Naughty Boy and singer Aarow Benjamin called “Runnin’ (Lose It All)”.
So technically this isn’t a solo Yoncé track, or even her own song per se, but beggars can’t be choosers, and we’re always begging for more Bey.
After teasing the song on social media this Wednesday, the full version dropped yesterday in tandem with a stunning music featuring two lost lovers running towards each another, made more difficult by the fact that they’re moving underwater (anyone else smell a metaphor?)

The song opens with Beyoncé quietly and soulfully mourning the loss of someone: “These four lonely walls have changed/the way I feel/the way I feel/I’m standing still/And nothing else matters now you’re not here/So where are you?/I’ve been calling you/I’m missing you.”
Will the new track serve to ramp-up Bey’s career in preparation for a bigger project? It’s been almost two years since the nation became obsessed with her eponymous album, and that one’s still runnin’ through our minds. You can bet that her next surprise will be just as big, if not bigger.
