Well, you know what they say–when Taylor Swift closes one door, Beyoncé opens another.

Today Queen Bey finally released last year’s epic album Beyoncé on Spotify, and the timing couldn’t be better for the streaming platform after Swift recently pulled her own music prior to the release of her record-breaking album 1989.

A ‘platinum’ edition of last year’s surprise Christmastime release is now available, including several bonus songs to the Beyoncé experience.

While there are only two fresh tracks on the record, the release also includes four new remixes as well as some added live footage.

The standout release is the track “Ring Off,” a song that addresses the end of a marriage. Gossipmongers might have you believe that it has to do with Beyoncé Jay-Z, but the song is a sad, but uplifting, personal message from Bey to her mother Tina addressing her divorce from Beyoncé’s father. Clearly the song is also a reference to Bey’s older single “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It.)”

Pharell Williams and Nicki Minaj also get added to two of the album’s original tracks, giving the beats a second life with a little added star power.

Check out the fun “selfie” music video that Bey released last friday for the other fresh song on the album, “7/11.” It’s already grabbed a whopping 20 million views!

Spotify traded in Taylor for Beyoncé. What do you think of her new tracks?
