Comedian and TV host Chelsea Handler raged at Instagram’s decision to take down a topless photo of her, in which she was mocking Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

Mimicking Putin’s infamous shirtless picture whilst riding a horse, Handler posted a similar image of her on horseback. She wrote: “Anything a man can do, a woman has the right to do better. #kremlin.” The picture though is no longer available via Instagram, a decision that riled Handler and many others.

A series of tweets from Handler (included below) summed up her annoyance at the decision. Handler wrote that “Taking this down is sexist. I have every right to show I have a better body than Putin.”

She then added, “If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it’s ok, but not a woman? Are we in 1825?”

Attempting to repost the image she then said “If instagram takes this down again, you’re saying Vladimir Putin Has more 1st amendment rights than…”

The image however is still unavailable on the morning of October 31 via Instagram though Handler shared a screen-grab of it on Twitter.

CELEBRITY PHOTOS THAT NEARLY BROKE INSTAGRAM

Best selling author Jenny Mollen was disgusted by Instagram’s decision.

Rich Kids of Beverly Hills star Morgan Stewart wasn’t overly concerned by the politics of Instagram’s decision though.

But elsewhere on Twitter there was plenty of support for Handler’s stance on the image.
