DIY Parenting Hacks For When Your Child Is Sick

Parenting may very well be one the of the hardest jobs there is. It’s especially stressful when your little loved one is in pain. There are little diy home remedies for aches and pains that are all natural and super inexpensive.

1. Did you know there’s a way to remove splinters besides using tweezer?

Combine baking soda with a touch of water and spread over the wound. Cover it with a bandage and an hour later you’ll be able to push the splinter out with ease.

2. If you child has a cough…

Rub some VapoRub on her feet and cover them with thick socks.

3. If your child suffers from a sore throat…

Feed them a few marshmallows. It will help sooth that throat and is a delicious treat.

4. Earache?

Fill a clean sock with rock salt and a couple of drops of an essential oil. Heat it in the microwave on medium-low heat for about five minutes. Make sure it’s not too hot! Place against your child’s ear. The minerals and the heat will lessen the pain.

5. You grandma might have done this trick for teething children:

Place a spoon in the freezer for a few minutes, then give it to your tot to suck on. You can also use frozen fruit pieces.

6. Canker sore:

Try dabbing some milk on it. Dairy is known for curing ulcer-like issues

7. Does your child refuse to take their medicine?

Dip a lollipop in the medicine and let the child lick or suck it each time you dip it. When the medicine’s gone, they can finish the lollipop.
