Heartwarming and Heartbreaking
A 16-year-old girl is faced with what many people would consider their worst nightmare: Rihanna Truman, from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2012. Her cancer is a very rare form of bone cancer called adamantinoma. It was first found in her leg and has since spread to her lungs. Adamantinoma makes up less than one percent of all bone cancer diagnoses. Just as Truman was adjusting to life, she became pregnant. Surprisingly, she decided to stop her cancer treatment in order to safely deliver her baby.
This girl is as strong as they come.
