They are the Champions!

Calling all rock fans! We have some good news for you. Music industry legends Queen and Adam Lambert are hitting the road once again on a legendary rock tour to a city near you. Excited yet? The tour will begin this summer on June 23 in Phoenix and stop at twenty five cities in America before ending on Aug. 5 in Houston.

How did this legendary duo meet and meld? The artists met back in 2009 on an episode of American Idol when Adam was still a contestant on the show. Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor played behind him during one of his performances. Ever since, the trio have sporadically played together on and off tour with Adam jumping in on Queen hits like “We Will Rock You,” “Somebody to Love” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.” We agree, no one will ever live up to the likes of Freddy Mercury, but Adam does a decent job. You might have caught them at the MTV Europe Awards or on a mini-tour in 2012 or headlining at Las Vegas’ iHeartRadio Music Festival in 2013.

If you’ve seen them on tour together before, don’t think you can pass on this one. Brian and Roger promised fans “a brand new show specially designed and created for this outing [that will bring Queen’s] history alive in all its passion and glory.” Seems too good to be true! In addition to the original band members and Adam, the group is supported by keyboardist Spike Edney, bassist Neil Fairclough and percussionist/Taylor’s son, Rufus Tiger Taylor.
