Cars are marvels of modern engineering.
With just over 2 million cars registered in the United States 100 years ago, only 60% of Americans had their own cars in the 1940s, but today, that has grown to 95%. In 2001, there were 1.1 registered cars per licensed driver in the US, with some families having more cars than people who could drive them.
How often do you depend on cars in your everyday life? Is it your own ride? Your mom’s? Your best friend’s? Regardless of whose wheels they are, cars are a one-way ticket to freedom and a lot more control over your own life.
Long story short: we love cars. But there are some things we frankly can’t believe they haven’t invented yet. Sure, they’ve evolved a lot over the past 200+ years, but we’d like to start seeing these modern features ASAP.
