I think it’s pretty legit to say that Eminem has had a super successful rap career. Marshall Mathers stepped onto the hip-hop scene in the 90s, with a no-holds-barred attitude, ready to take on any opponent. His catalog is extensive and, in 2005, he released his first greatest hits compilation album entitled, Curtain Call: The Hits. Today, that album alone has sold more than seven million copies and on October 21st, was certified 7x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The album features some of Em’s more popular hits from his 1999-2004 albums, The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, and Encore. Both The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show are certified Diamond by the RIAA. And throughout Em’s career, he has accumulated five #1 singles and six #1 albums. Curtain Call was thought to be the album that would lead to a hiatus from Em’s musical career.

He once said, “I’m at a point in my life right now where I feel like I don’t know where my career is going… This is the reason that we called it ‘Curtain Call’, because this could be the final thing. We don’t know.” But the boy is bad and his career didn’t stop there. Last week, he released “Campaign Speech,” a political song addressing police brutality and calling out Donald Trump.
