One Direction Tour 2017! Let it be so!
October 3rd, 2016 is a date that will live in One Direction infamy. It was the day they broke millions of girls hearts and dreams. Dreams to see the band perform one last time. Dreams to hear new songs formulated by four (but for us, five) angelic voices. The beginning of their hiatus was the beginning of our deep depression.
That deep depression didn’t last long however. Each of the boys have shown their chops and recording and producing music individually and it’s interesting to see how their unique styles are highlighted when they aren’t a boy band. Niall and Louis have new singles out, Liam is working on his own debut (and expecting a baby no less) and Harry has a major movie in the works. But the question is, when exactly will this excruciatingly long hiatus be over?
During a Today Show appearance and performance of his and Steve Aoki’s banger hit “Just Hold On,” Louis mentioned there is a light at the end of the tunnel. He admitted to Matt Lauer and Natalie Morales, “There’s time for that. Nobody knows when. I think we’re enjoying a bit of time to ourselves, exploring our own solo things.” Okay, not the definitive answer we wanted, but he did say there is time for that!
No kidding that Louis is enjoying the time for himself. The past couple months have been a whirlwind of emotion for the A-lister. Just two months after the band split, Louis’s mother tragically died of leukemia at just 43 years of age. Before you make any opinions of his public appearances so soon after her death, we should have you know that it was her dying wish for Louis to continue with his normal life. We wish him and the rest of the band the best! But let’s get back together shall we?
When do you think the band will go back on tour? Let us know and be sure to SHARE this story with all the 1D fans you know!
Are our dreams coming true??
