He has some 'splainin' to do

While speaking in Chile, Mormon leader, Elder David A. Bednar was asked the question, “How can homosexual members of the church live and remain steadfast in the gospel?” His answer? “There are no homosexuals in the church.” And yes, just like your eyebrows rose, so did the congregation’s.

The former president of Brigham Young University–Idaho further explained his theory that no one is born gay or bisexual. Instead, God gives people challenges to overcome, homosexuality being one of them.

"We are sons and daughters of God, and all of us have different challenges in the flesh," says the member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
