The World Is Our Oyster, and Our Trash Bin
If you’ve ever participated in boy scouts, someone probably taught you the golden rule of camping: always leave the campsite cleaner than you found it. If only we could expand this motto to mankind’s largest campsite, planet Earth.
Unfortunately, instead of leaving things in better shape than how we found it, the planet suffers through our existence year by year, and as a result the effects of global warming the sixth extinction are beginning to take hold. For example, did you know 10% of coral reefs have already been damaged beyond repair? And by 2050 the entirety of the world’s reefs will be in danger of being eliminated? It’s time we start implementing change. And people won’t change unless they feel emotionally effected by the status of our environment, so here’s a gallery of heartbreaking images that will remind you of how dire our situation truly is.
SHARE this post and spread the awareness now. It’s the least you can do!
The trash rivers in the Philippines are terrible. How have I never seen this?
