Dropped Like A First Round Knockout

Manny Pacquiao just received a major knockout in terms of celebrity endorsements when Nike dropped him after he made some incredibly inflammatory remarks about the gay community.“We find Manny Pacquiao’s comments abhorrent,” Nike said Wednesday in a statement. “Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community.”

Pacquiao made the comments in a television interview in his native country of the Philippines last Monday, and since then the boxing hero has received a maelstrom of frustrated comments from angry fans and others.

The boxer is currently a member of the House of Representatives in the Philippines and is running for the country’s senate. He’s even expressed his wishes to become president of the country one day…
