Actor Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury on set during the filming of the Star Wars: Episode VII. It all happened rather quickly when the hydraulic door of the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft that his character, Han Solo, pilots in the original films, fell on the 71-year-old actor. Ford was immediately airlifted to John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford for treatment.
Although he still awaits the results of further tests, it has been reported that Ford suffered a fractured ankle. According to director J.J. Abrams, “shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.”
Ford’s incident is currently under investigation by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), a England government agency that oversees work safety. An HSE spokesperson said, “We have been made aware of an incident at Pinewood studios and are making initial enquiries.”
The director also posted a photo of the Millennium Falcon on his Twitter feed, signifying a return of the legendary spaceship. Great news from Abrams for Star Wars followers that the spaceship is back, but now the questions lies in whether or not Harrison Ford will return.
Harrison Ford forgot how to work his own spacecraft in the filming of the Star Wars: Episode VII. Playing his old role, Han Solo, in the new Star Wars episode, Ford spacecraft attacks back.
