Harrison Ford Plane Crash

“Indy” got in a little too far in over his head yesterday and suffered heavy injuries after crash landing his vintage WW2 single-engine airplane on a golf course.

According to air traffic controllers, actor Harrison Ford had technical issues after taking off from Santa Monica Airport and requested an immediate return at around 2:25 PM yesterday (March 5). Unfortunately, he didn’t make it all the way back to the airport, landing instead on the 8th tee of the course.

Ford’s publicist has released a statement letting everyone know that our favorite Indiana Jones and Star Wars action hero is doing alright. “He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery.” This morning (March 6), it was confirmed that Ford broke his pelvis and ankle in the crash. Just months ago he broke his leg while filming a new Star Wars film.

Ben Ford, Harrison’s son, a chef in LA, also tweeted to the public to let  everyone know how his dad is faring. “Dad is ok. Battered, but ok!” he says, adding, “He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man.”

Ford’s crash came on the same day that Delta Airlines flight 1086 crash landed on an icy runway at LaGuardia Airport in NYC. Clearly the snow wasn’t a factor in Harrison Ford’s mysterious crash; the FAA is still investigating the cause of the accident and is unsure of what brought the plane down.

Apparently Ford did everything he was supposed to do under the circumstances – and let’s be honest, we’ve seen him in worse predicaments before.

This piece of action may have been all-too-real for Mr. Jones, but at least his plane didn’t set down in a riverbed full of crocodiles.

Get well soon, Mr. Ford!

Jones made it out of this one just fine. Get well soon, Mr. Ford!
