Finally An ATM That Gives Us Good News
Sometimes a company’s marketing campaign nails it on head so well, you don’t even mind that it’s helping to promote their brand. Last year as a part of TD Bank’s “TD Thanks You” campaign the bank handed over $20 to 30,000 of their customers – just because! But then they took things a step further for a few extra-special customers.
Several branches in Canada were set up with special ATMs that were transformed into “Automated Thanking Machines” used to give some of the bank’s favorite customers some personalized gifts. TD pulled the customers in under the guise of a focus group to help design the new ATM, but clearly these machines had something different in store for their customers.
Our favorite? A mom named Dorothy who was given tickets to Trinidad to visit her daughter who was recovering from surgery due to cancer.
