Nicki Minaj and a tribe of Amazonian twerkers show off their assets in the rapper’s new video, Anaconda. Within the first few moments you realize that the song largely samples Sir-Mix-a-Lot’s epic early 90’s classic, Baby Got Back, and just like that, we’re all transported to an awkward high school dance floor where the girls are taking off their heels off and hiking up their chiffon.

Among other key elements, the video features some inconspicuous product placement, a pair of killer Alexander McQueen heels, and enough suggestive fruit metaphors to make a very large fruit salad. One of the mysteries of the video, however, is the appearance of Drake. You might assume that the rapper/singer would join Nicki Minaj in her ode-de-tush, but instead Drake simply sits in a chair and receives a pampering of epic booty bounces from tribal-queen Minaj.

All in all, it’s a fun, kitschy video, and though we may have been bouncing to Sir-Mix-a-Lot since we figured out what the anaconda was, we’re happy to hear that baby got back on the airwaves.
